Medical Biology Department of Medicine

General Information:

Department of Medical Biology was founded in 1986 by Prof. Dr. It was founded by Halit ELYAS. The unit, which operated under the name of the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics in its early years, has continued its education and training activities as the Department of Medical Biology since 2009.

Trainings Given:

1. Undergraduate Medical Biology theoretical and practical courses are given by the Department of Medical Biology in the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy.

2. Postgraduate (master's and doctorate with thesis) programs within the Institute of Health Sciences

Medical Services:

Although no medical services are provided in the Department of Medical Biology, scientific activities continue uninterruptedly in our department, which has laboratories where different molecular genetic approaches such as Cell Culture, Western Blot and ELISA are used as infrastructure, and infrastructure support is provided to many domestic basic and clinical science projects.
