General Information-History:

       Fırat Department of Pediatric Surgery, Assistant Professor in June 1996. Assoc. Dr. It was established with the appointment of Ahmet Kazez to the Faculty. Since its establishment, both pre-graduate education and specialty training programs have been carried out in the field of pediatric surgery. Tertiary pediatric surgery clinical services needed in the region are provided uninterruptedly for both emergency and scheduled patients.

       Pediatric surgery outpatient clinic services are provided 5 days a week in the Fırat University Hospital Polyclinic building. Emergency and scheduled patients are operated on in the pediatric surgery operating room allocated to the clinic every day of the week. The educational infrastructure of the Department includes one classroom for 45 people with computer and barcovision support, one meeting room for 12 people, and internet access - digital library infrastructure. Pediatric Surgery clinical service; The 9th Floor Pediatric Surgery Clinic has 4 day beds, 12 infant + older child beds (16 beds), and 3 pediatric intensive care (PICU) beds and 5 neonatal intensive care (NICU) beds (9 unit beds) allocated to pediatric surgery. It is carried out in the Pediatrics Clinic on the 1st floor with a total capacity of 25 beds.
